Warnings & Notices

Winter Weather Statement

Expires 6:00 AM CST on February 09, 2010
Statement as of 4:15 am CST on February 9, 2010

... Winter Storm Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has cancelled the
Winter Storm Warning.

Light snow and flurries will continue to taper off across eastern
Arkansas early this morning. Otherwise... no additional wintry
precipitation is expected over the region today. Thus... the Winter
Storm Warning has been cancelled.

Even though most precipitation has ended... area roadways and bridges
remain hazardous from leftover snow and slush. Also... colder air
will continue to move into the area on gusty northwest winds
throughout the day. This will allow the Mercury to fall below
freezing in many areas... causing any standing water to refreeze.
This will be especially true on many less travel roads.

Persons across the region should use caution is having to travel
on area roadways and bridges today.
