Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will spread quickly northeast across areas from McLean...DeWitt...Macon and Christian counties west through 10 PM. Some storms could become severe with damaging wind gusts in excess of 50 mph...large hail of 1 to 2 inch diameter...frequent lightning...heavy rains of 1 to 2 inches in less than an hour and possible tornadoes. The strongest storms through 9 PM will affect the Peoria Metro area...Scott...Morgan... Cass...Menard...Schuyler and western Sangamon counties.
