... Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for southern De Kalb...
southwestern Cumberland... eastern Cannon... white... Warren and Van
Buren counties until 600 PM CDT...

At 429 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across parts of the warned
area.

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. Some locations that will experience flash flooding
include... McMinnville... Sparta and Woodbury.

Some roads in the area have been closed... including stones River
Road just east of Woodbury. Rain has tapered off around Smithville
and Spencer..but small streams may still be running high... and water
may still cover some roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
