Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, March 19, 2010.

The nation will continue to see generally pleasant conditions for most people on Friday, but the Western Plains and Rockies will have some cloud cover to contend with as well as some rain and snow. Low pressure will dive south down the eastern flank of the Rockies, bringing cold air and clouds with it. Precipitation is likely throughout Colorado Nebraska and Wyoming throughout the day. This storm is relatively dry, so it shouldn't produce too much rain or snow, though some ski resorts in favored areas could see some significant late season snow as this storm moves through. While precipitation is most likely to the west of the area, the Northern and Central Plains may also see some snowfall.

In the East, another gorgeous day is expected, with few clouds throughout the region and temperatures rising into the upper 60s and low 70s for a widespread area. Warmth will spread west to the Mid-West, before a cold front moves through the region dropping temperatures substantially.

In the West, temperatures will be well above normal for most locations, with highs throughout California rising into the 70s and 80s. Washington and Oregon will also stay warm with temperatures at the coast in the upper 60s with lower 60s throughout the lower elevations of both states. In addition to the warmth, clear skies and light winds are anticipated.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Thursday ranged from a low of 11 degrees at Stanley, Idaho to a high of 90 degrees at Palm Springs, Calif.
