illnesses if proper precautions are not taken.
A heat advisory means that a period of dangerous heat is expected.

heat index readings of at least 105 degrees and very warm overnight
temperatures. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room and stay out of direct sunshine. Remember... the elderly... very
Young... and people with heart conditions are most at risk in extreme

may be at risk. Make sure pets have a shady place to rest out of the
sun and plenty of clean... cool water.
When possible... reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning
or the evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water. To reduce risk during outdoor
work... the occupational safety and health administration recommends
scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned
environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and
shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency... call 911.
If you do not have air conditioning... go to The Mall... a Library or
a community relief shelter. Never leave anyone... especially infants
or Young children... or animals... in a parked vehicle.
