The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Georgia... north central Georgia...
northeast Georgia and northwest Georgia... including the
following areas... in east central Georgia... Wilkes. In north
central Georgia... Barrow... Cherokee... Cobb... Dawson... DeKalb...
   Douglas... Fannin... Forsyth... Gilmer... Gwinnett... Hall...
Lumpkin... north Fulton... Pickens... South Fulton... Union and
Walton. In northeast Georgia... banks... Clarke... Jackson...
Madison... Oconee... Oglethorpe... towns and white. In northwest
Georgia... Bartow... Carroll... Catoosa... Chattooga... Dade...
Floyd... Gordon... Haralson... Murray... Paulding... Polk... Walker
and Whitfield.

* Through Sunday evening

* periods of heavy rain will continue across north and central
Georgia through tonight and intermittently through Sunday
evening with an additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall. Locally
higher amounts will be possible.

* Saturated soils from rainfall over the past few days along
with the additional rainfall expected may cause flash flooding
of roadways and especially around creeks... small streams... low
lying and urban areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Turn around don't drown!

You should monitor future forecasts and be prepared to take
action should flash flood warnings be issued.
