Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Advisory

Expires 10:00 AM EST on February 11, 2016
Statement as of 3:26 am EST on February 10, 2016

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST
Thursday...

* hazard types... lingering snow showers and flurries with black
ice... and dangerously cold wind chills.

* Accumulations... little... if any... additional snowfall
accumulation.

* Locations... northeast Georgia... mainly east and north of
Chatsworth to Dawsonville to Cleveland.

* Wind chill readings... 5 below to 5 above early this morning and
again Wednesday night.

* Impacts... snow and ice on roads will create hazardous driving
conditions. Even the lower elevations of north Georgia will
see the potential for slick spots on roadways due to re-
freezing of water or snow. For wind chills... rapid onset of
frost bite and hypothermia are possible if proper precautions
are not taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This can result in
frost bite and could lead to hypothermia if precautions are not
taken. If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat
and gloves.
