The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a blizzard
watch... which is in effect from late Sunday night through Monday
afternoon.
* Location... through Thompson Pass.
* Snow... 1 to 4 inches.
* Visibility... possibly one quarter mile or less at times.
* Wind... southeast 30 to 45 mph.
* Timing... snow and blowing snow will develop around midnight on
Sunday night. Conditions will persist until improvement begins
around midday on Monday.
* Impacts... a blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or
blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.
This can lead to white-out conditions and make travel very
difficult.
