Winter Storm Warning, Wind Chill Advisory

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am EST Sunday...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon EST Sunday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am EST Sunday. A
Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon EST Sunday.

* Hazard types... heavy snow... blowing snow and low wind chills.

* Accumulations... totals of 6 to 12 inches of snow.

* Impacts... snow accumulations will make travel difficult. Blowing snow
will reduce visibilities and may recover roadways. All
unnecessary travel should be avoided.

* Wind chills... 10 below zero or colder mainly for elevations
above 2500 feet.

* Winds... northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph.

* Temperatures... in the teens... with readings on either side of
zero for elevations above 3500 feet.

* Visibilities... quite variable in snow showers and blowing snow
and will be reduced to a quarter mile or less at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

by calling toll free... 877-633-6772.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
