Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for heavy which is in effect from 7 am Monday to 7 am PST
Tuesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Snow accumulations: 4 to 7 inches of snow are expected in valley
locations... with locally higher amounts possible along and near
the Highway 50 corridor. Still higher amounts are also expected
in the mountains.
* Timing: heaviest snow is expected Monday morning through Tuesday
morning. Snow showers will decrease in coverage Tuesday
afternoon.
* Locations include: Tonopah... Round Mountain... Duckwater...
Currant Summit... Austin... Austin Summit... Eureka... Diamond
Valley... Pinto Summit
* impacts: heavy snow is expected to impact travel across central
Nevada. Travel may become very difficult at times. Expect snow
packed roadways and reduced visibilities beginning Monday
morning and continuing through Tuesday morning.
