The Flood Watch continues for
* portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York...
including the following areas... in northeast New Jersey...
Bergen... eastern Passaic... Essex... Hudson... Union and western
Passaic. In southeast New York... Orange and Rockland.
* From this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon
* one to two inches of rain... with locally higher amounts... is
expected across the watch area from today into Tuesday. The
heaviest rain is expected from late this afternoon through
tonight.
* With river levels across northeast New Jersey and portions of
the lower Hudson Valley running relatively high... this
rainfall could bring these rivers and small streams to flood
stage.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
