Winter Weather Advisory

Expires 5:00 PM MST on November 22, 2009
Statement as of 11:52 am MST on November 21, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 am to 5 PM MST
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 5 am to 5 PM MST Sunday.

A Pacific storm system will spread into the Lost River and
Pahsimeroi Mountains late tonight and Sunday morning. Storm total
snowfall of up to 6 inches is expected in the mountains with 1 to
3 inches possible in the valleys. Areas of brisk south to west
winds will also accompany the storm producing blowing and drifting
snow with reduced visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.
