Now
Isolated showers will develop along the coast and move north to northeast at 10 to 15 mph. The showers will produce brief periods of light to moderate rain along and east of the I-95 corridor. General rainfall will be less than a tenth of an inch. Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop across east central Florida this afternoon as a storm system develops over the lower Mississippi Valley and pulls a strong cold front into the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the storms will produce brief periods of heavy rain as they move northeast at 15 to 20 mph. Some of the storms may intensify as they approach the coast...mainly south of Cape Canaveral.
