Synopsis For Far Southern California Coast
At 2 am PST...a 1030 mb high was 1300 nm west of San Diego and a 1004 mb low was near Reno. Light southwest winds will become west and gusty this afternoon as a cold front moves over the coastal waters. Strong and gusty west winds will also generate rough seas hazardous to small craft. This front will bring periods of rain showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms today through Tuesday afternoon. Winds will weaken for Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Another cold front will bring another chance of rain and gusty west winds Wednesday evening through Thursday morning...followed by gusty north-northeast winds Thursday afternoon. Weak offshore flow will continue into Friday.
