Synopsis
High pressure moves off to the east today with a wave of low pressure forecast to move east into southern Mississippi by Tuesday morning. Onshore flow is forecast to increase with seas building tonight. Showers becoming likely tonight with a few thunderstorms possible. The low weakens as it moves eastward on Tuesday with conditions improving late in the day. The next cold front approaches from the west late Wednesday with frontal passage and wind shift expected through the day Thursday.

Today
Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southeast in the late morning and early afternoon...then increasing to 15 to 20 knots early in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 feet. Bays and coastal waterways choppy to rough.
Tonight
South winds increasing to 20 to 25 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet building to 4 to 6 feet in the late evening and overnight. Bays and coastal waterways becoming rough. Chance of showers through the night. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the late evening and overnight. Small Craft Advisory will likely be required.
Tuesday
South winds 20 to 25 knots becoming southwest 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Bays and coastal waterways rough. Numerous showers through the day.
Tuesday Night
West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northeast 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bays and coastal waterways a light chop.
Wednesday
East winds around 10 knots becoming southeast 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bays and coastal waterways a light chop.
Wednesday Night
South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways choppy to rough. Scattered showers through the night. Isolated thunderstorms after midnight.
Thursday
West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming north. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways choppy to rough. Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms until late afternoon...then scattered showers early in the afternoon.
Friday
Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bays and coastal waterways choppy to rough. Isolated showers early in the afternoon. Scattered showers in the late evening and overnight.
